The people behind Marketraa

Marketraa reviews marketing and SEO tools, and someone real stands behind every score. These are the people who research the tools, write the reviews, and sign their names to the work. No anonymous byline, no faceless brand voice: named authors you can look up and hold to account.

Who we are

Filipe Lins Duarte

Co-Founder & CEO

Sales leader turned founder, with vast experience talking to customers and users to understand what good software actually looks like. Before starting AI Peekaboo, Filipe built and ran revenue teams across SaaS companies in Europe and the US, most recently as a mid-market account executive at Uber for Business and, before that, as Meister’s top-ranked account executive in 2023, a background spanning both commercial and product roles. That direct, repeated exposure to how buyers evaluate software is part of what pushed him to build an agency around transparent scoring rather than keyword tricks. He leads strategy and client relationships at Marketraa, and sets the editorial bar every review is held to.

John Rice

Co-Founder & CTO

Full-stack engineer and serial builder who has spent 15+ years building tech products and web applications, and has conducted hundreds of user interviews along the way to know what a good product actually looks like. John spent years as a senior software engineer at MagicLinks before striking out on his own, first with Subreddit Signals, a tool built to track brand mentions across Reddit communities, and now as the engineer behind the AI Peekaboo platform, designed from scratch to monitor how brands show up in Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity answers. That firsthand research into what actually makes a product good, not just how it ranks in search, directly shapes how Marketraa scores and reviews tools. He leads product and engineering.

Photo of Danny Kirk

Danny Kirk

COO & Advisory

Reddit community expert and operator. Danny founded ReddiReach in 2017 and has spent the years since building genuine presence inside Reddit communities rather than treating the platform as an afterthought, work that later carried into operating roles at Energent Media and deal-scouting for GoAhead Ventures. That platform-native experience is why Marketraa treats Reddit as a first-class channel rather than a bolt-on: every tool review points to the actual subreddits where buyers are already discussing these tools, and Danny is the one who knows which threads matter.

Danny’s Reddit expertise is directly on-topic here, not a generic advisory line. Every Marketraa tool review carries a community module pointing to r/AIVisibilityMarketing, r/AIDiscoverability, and r/BrandGrowth, and platform-native knowledge of how those communities actually work shapes how we cover Reddit and community tools.

How we keep it accurate

Real, named authors

Every review is produced under this team, not an anonymous byline or unattributed AI output. The names above are the people accountable for what a page says.

Checked against public sources

Pricing, features, and integration claims are cross-checked against the vendor’s own site and docs, plus public user feedback on G2, Capterra, and Reddit discussions, rather than accepted at face value from vendor marketing copy.

Kept current

Each review carries a visible publish or update date, shown on every tool page. To be honest about it: that reflects periodic editorial review by a person, not a continuously live-recomputed figure. When a tool changes enough to matter, we revisit the page and move the date.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes Marketraa’s reviews?

Every Marketraa review is produced by our named editorial team: Filipe Lins Duarte, John Rice, and Danny Kirk. There is no anonymous byline and no unattributed AI output published as a review. If you want to know who stands behind a page, it is these three people.

Are Marketraa’s scores independently audited?

No. Our scores are editorial opinion, not an independently audited or certified rating. We assign them ourselves based on public information and our own hands-on testing, using the same criteria across every tool. They are a considered starting point for your own shortlist, not a verified benchmark, and we say so plainly rather than dressing them up as something they are not.

How often are Marketraa reviews updated?

Each review carries a visible publish or update date, shown at the top of every tool page (for example, "Updated June 28, 2026"). That date reflects periodic editorial review: a person revisiting the tool, its pricing, and its features. It is not a continuously live-recomputed figure, and we do not claim automation we do not run. When enough has changed on a tool to matter, we revisit the page and move the date.

How do I report an error in a review?

Email hello@marketraa.com with the page and the detail you think is wrong, and we will check it against the vendor’s own site and public sources. Pricing and features change often, so corrections are genuinely welcome. If you own a tool we cover and want to flag an inaccuracy, the same address reaches us.
